Wrinkles? Sun spots? Loss of elasticity?

A hypertrophic scar, what’s that?

As the skin ages, it's natural regeneration process slows. The cells responsible for regenerating and renewing the skin age and lose their ability to stay young. Little by little, the skin loses firmness and elasticity as a result of decreased natural hydration.

As a result of this process, our epidermis becomes thinner and the layer of dead skin cells becomes thicker, altering its pigmentation and elasticity.

The main visible signs of ageing of the skin are wrinkles, expression lines, dehydrated skin, dullness and lack of elasticity.

What is glycolic acid and what effect does it have on the skin?

Glicoisdin contains glycolic acid and a combination of specific ingredients to diminish wrinkles and sunspots and increase the skin’s elasticity.

Glycolic acid is a natural ingredient derived from sugar cane. It is an exfoliant, helping eliminate the layers of dead skin cells that build up on the surface of the skin to make it softer and smoother. It also helps moisturise to prevent premature ageing of the skin, diminish wrinkles and expression lines, and stimulate the natural regeneration of the epidermis.

Remember, if you have sensitive skin we recommend starting with lower concentrations of glycolic acid and moving up depending on how well you tolerate it.

How can you make your skin look younger and healthier?

Follow our advice…

A healthy, balanced diet helps your skin look beautiful and radiant. It is key to get all the vitamins and minerals your body needs. A diet poor in nutrients and vitamins will make your skin look dull and worn. Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables.

Spending moderate amounts of time in the sun can be beneficial, but if you go overboard it can be very dangerous. Always wear good face sunscreen SPF 50+. The sun ages skin and sometimes causes spots to form, in extreme cases even leading to skin cancer.

If you don’t sleep well, you will have bags under your eyes and your skin will look lifeless and tired. Aim to get at least 8 hours of sleep each night.

Clean off any make-up and wash your skin at least twice a day, morning and night.

During the day, your skin has to deal with pollution, temperature changes and the sun. So, the products you should use are mainly defensive. At night, it is important to use products with glycolic acid to help renew the skin, keeping it firm and healthy.

HAPPY Relax and have fun in a healthy way. Stress and depression take a serious toll on your health and beauty, leading to premature ageing and wrinkles.

Water is extremely important for keeping skin hydrated. We need between 6 and 8 glasses a day to keep skin elastic, flexible and hydrated.

Smoking not only harms the skin, but our whole body as well. Tobacco poisons the body, obstructs the epidermis and stops the skin from getting the oxygen it needs.
